I'm going vampire mode. Sleep during the day. Work during the night.
I slept in today. Didn't feel too great about that because I have things to do during the day. However, I've been sleeping very late lately and I hit flow state around 11 pm.
flow state = in the zone to work 😎
Had a chat with my dad this morning about how I've been getting a lot done at night but sleep in so much.
He suggested I use that to my advantage. Get things done at night. Sleep in the morning.
I have the privilege to be enrolled in an asynchronous online school. I can do tasks whenever I work best.
The schedule I'm thinking of experimenting with this week:
- Work from 9pm-6am
- Sleep at 7am
- Wake up at 2pm
- Calls, family time, fresh air, etc.
Repeat. I think I'll iterate a bit as I try this out.
🦉My three goals for tonight's night-owl work session:
- Three Physics Labs
- David Hume podcasts
- Activate session prep
In general, been thinking thinking about structure a lot lately. I live a very unstructured life with online school, TKS, etc. However, I've built different structures for accountability and tracking (daily updates, a schedule, etc.).
Trying to figure out if this structure is a good thing for me. I find I work best with makers schedule (long work sessions to finish something). I also value spontaneity and bias-towards-action. I think structure may prevent me from those things sometimes. It may also be a case of iterating my structures for my ideal lifestyle. This is something else for me to experiment with.
In other news, started tracking metrics towards the female-self-awareness project today!
Looking forward to see what can be learned from this as I add more color to the page. 🎨🧠
